onliness v1.0.1 is Open Source Music (OSM). All sounds and program data created by demon doc are available here as a free download.
The source files available for download contain loops, one-shots, hits, phrases (*.wav format) in addition to MIDI files (*.mid) and Reason Files (*.rsn) for all 21 tracks on the album. Most of the tracks were primarily sketched out in Reason using a Korg Triton proX 88 and an MPC 60, then brought into Digital Performer, added to and mixed, and finally polished, mixed again and then mastered in Pro Tools. Real-time mach ups in Ableton Live.Biggup Jimmy Mullen for polish and mastering – his credits include Large Professor, Nas, and Interpol amongst others.
!this took time and costs <$> please contribute what you can!

`
The source files were extracted from the pre-mastered version so some of the effects and sound design added during mixing and mastering are not there. ). I made a conscious effort to make all of the files immediately usable in any program from Ableton’s Live to Soundtrack Pro – the loops should be trimmed just right (I hope….)I have made an attempt to outline a format, organization and naming schema for releasing open source music. For now lets call is open source music format (OSMF) – I welcome suggestions and refinement to get the format to its most usable. The components of this format include:
1. folder structure:
I created folders listed by track
number/track name so sounds and programming data are easy to reference
and associate with each track.
2. sample naming schema :
os means one shot (ie an individual snare hit)
lp means loop (ie a drum loop)
the naming works as follows:
trackname_description/filetype_BPM
so boticelli_drlooplp_89.wav
means that the sound came from the track named “Boticelli”, contains drum sounds, is a loop, and the tempo 89 beats per minute.
3. file formats: you’ll see MIDI files (*.wav) and Reason Files (*.rsn) enclosed in each track folder. Some folders do not contain these files as they were made using a Triton and MPC with no computer-based sequencing. The loops and one-shots are in standard .wav format compatible with any music production software or hardware.
