On a clear autumn evening, proud extra-terrestrial lions landed their ship in Brooklyn and abducted two young alcohol dependents known as demondoctor and spase1. Aboard the ship, the lions encouraged the boys to inhale the smoke from the burning of their sacred Kennifick plant. Toxins from the smoke altered the boys' neural pathways, unlocking the universally repressed awareness that the mystery of sound and rhythm, from the warm cradle of earthly civilization to its inevitable, cold, outer-space annihilation, is intimately and unavoidably connected. The lions returned to the boys to Myrtle Avenue with a charge: "You are no longer demondoctor and spase1 - you are mass_processor. You will celebrate your species' roots with microprocessors and loudspeakers, and you will dance into the future with drums and handclaps. You are unbounded by ownership. All music is yours, and your music belongs to everyone. Begin with Volume I........
